3Q Printer Shipment Proves Stable Printer Industry

The printer market is on the rebound as proven by the shipment normalization of printers around the world for 3rd Quarter 0f 2010.

The Worldwide Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker of IDC (International Data Corporation) reported that the number of printers shipped around the world grew by 13% compared to the 3rd Quarter of 2009 totaling to nearly 31 million units.

Hewlett Packard is still the solid front runner overall of the printer market but Samsung is giving it a run for its money in the laser printer market. More than 9.5 million laser printer units were shipped, 84% of which are monochrome laser printers.

I would hazard a guess that Samsung toners will be in demand especially black Samsung toners.

More than that, a stabilized printer market can augur well for us in the toner aftermarket industry.

I hope 2011 will be better.
